ESI is presenting Project Governance
A Centre of Excellence Event on the 30 of September at IVAs konferenscenter on Grev Turegatan. This event is aimed at Head of PMOs and Program Directors. The Topic is project governance and the speakers are Raed Haddad (VP ESI) and Matts Larsson Director, Global training Tetra Pak. See attached document. The event is free of charge and ESI also provide coffee and bread rolls.
During this event Raed S. Haddad, Senior VP at ESI International, will be discussing whether or not a PMO provides value or adds cost. Mr. Haddad will draw on ESI’s 25-years of global experience in this area, as well as the various researches that ESI and others have conducted. PMO’s value and benefits are often questioned, particularly in tough economic times. However, Raed will demonstrate why this element of a company is essential in achieving and maintaining leadership in your industry, both in down times and during periods of strong prosperity. He will provide you with best practices on establishing and sustaining the right PMO design, as well as give you insights into the value and benefit of the PMO. This seminar will provide you specific strategies that you can immediately apply to help solve some of the pressing business challenges in your organisation, such as directional management, strategic priorities and organisational efficiencies.
You will also hear from Matts Larsson, Director Global Training at Tetra Pak, who will discuss how governance affects projects and how organisations can benefit through implementing cross project, experiential learning. The governance of change is of increasing concern to today’s business managers. It requires particular thought regarding its set-up and operation, but if established properly a good governance structure can aid decision-making, encourage risk management and deliver confidence to those involved in the management of projects and programs. Matts will give you some insight into his organisation and share some of their success stories.
Finally Mr. Haddad will close the session by sharing pragmatic and established best practices on how to assess the impact of project management learning initiatives. He will present how best of class organizations assess program effectiveness, and show the Value of Investment (VOI) which is often part of the charter of a PMO.
